Pendelnde Gitarren sah ich zum ersten Mal in einer Show mit Vico Torriani (ca. 1964). Das Ballet schwang zu einem Lied über Glocken und Gondeln (soweit ich mich erinnern kann) Gitarren im Takt. Für Minimundus habe ich dann Steve Reichs "Pendulum" im Kleinformat realisiert. Jetzt werden im ESC zwei Gitarren schwingen und über Feedback mit Gitarrenverstärkern das Stück produzieren. Im Gegensatz zum Original wird die Pendelbewegung automatisiert und das Feedback gesteuert, sodass während der ganzen Dauer der Ausstellung die Gitarrenpendel zu hören sind.

For the first time I saw guitars swinging back and forth, this was in a show with Vico Torriani (about 1964). The ballet dancers swung guitars to the beat of a song about bells and gondolas (as far as I remember). For Minimundus I converted it into a miniature. Now, in ESC, two guitars will swing over amplifiers and by means of feedback create the piece. In contrast to the original piece, the pendulum movement will be automatized and the feedback controlled, so that the guitar-pendulum can be heard during the whole duration of the exhibition.
