Der 1945 in Judenburg (Stmk.) geborene, an der Wiener Akademie der bildenden Künste bei Gütersloh und Mikl ausgebildete Künstler zählt zu den autonomsten und konsequentesten Malern der heimischen Szene. Die Balance von figuraler Darstellung alltäglicher Gegenstände und Abstraktion sind Hauptthemen über die Jahre. Die Ausstellung zeigt das vielschichtige Schaffen Panzers nicht nur in Malerei und Grafik, sondern auch den Übergang zum Objekt.

Fritz Panzer was born in Judenburg (Styria) in 1945 and was educated by Gütersloh and Mikl at the Vienna Academy of Visual Arts. He is one of the most autonomous and consistent painters of the local scene. The balance of figured portrayals of daily objects and abstraction has been a main topic over the years. The exhibition shows the complex works of Panzer not only of paintings and graphics but also the transition to the object.
