Christa Nickl-Wlodkowski beschäftigt sich - worauf schon der Titel der Ausstellung verweist - in ihren jüngsten Arbeiten vorrangig mit dem Phänomen Farbe. Brüche und Dissonanzen werden dabei ebenso spürbar wie Harmonie; das Thema der Bilder ist die Umsetzung von Klängen, Emotionen und Empfindungen, die eine Entsprechung in der subjektiven Farbwelt der Künstlerin finden. Die spontane Malweise macht den kreativen Akt fühlbar.

As the title indicates, in her most recent works Christa Nickl-Wlodkowski deals primarily with the phenomenon of color. Breaks and dissonances become just as tangible here as harmony; the theme of the pictures is the transposition of sounds, emotions and sensations that find a correspondence in the artist's subjective world of color. Her spontaneous manner of painting makes it possible to feel the creative act.
