Die KünstlerInnengruppe "global bastards" konzipiert das "hotel rhizom" als bewohnbares Gesamtkunstwerk (Rezeption, Schlaf-Frühstücksraum, Dusche/WC). Als erste geladenen Gäste wagen die Künstlerinnen Halt+Boring "den galoppierenden Sauritt, wo andere am hohen Ross vorbeitraben."
In einem transnationalen Team formieren sich einige SendungsmacherInnen (nichtdeutschsprachige Sendeschiene) von radio helsinki, um Graz on air als internationale Stadt (Selbstbild versus Fremdwahrnehmung) zu be- bzw. hinterfragen. Das "hotel rhizom" wird dabei in Mutationen als "hotel mezopotamya" "hotel El papagayo" u.a. internationale Graz-Kultur vermitteln.
In den drei, dem "hotel rhizom" angeschlossenen Räumen - der "reflexion zone graz", kumulieren die Annäherungen an Graz in den unterschiedlichen Medien und sollen Ende 2003 Anregung zur "Selbstentspiegelung" bieten.

The artist group "global bastards" has conceived the "hotel rhizom" as an inhabitable gesamtkunstwerk (reception, bedrooms, breakfast room, shower/WC). As the first invited guests, the artists Halt+Boring dare "the galloping sow ride, where others trot by on their high horses."
Several radio program-makers (non-German language programming) from radio helsinki form a transnational team to query and question Graz on air as an international city (self-image versus perception of others). In mutations as "hotel mezopotamya", "hotel El papagayo" and others, "hotel rhizom" will convey international Graz culture.
In the three rooms annexed to the "hotel rhizom" - the "reflexion zone graz" - approaches to Graz accumulate in the various media and are intended to offer impulses for "self-de-mirroring" in late 2003.
