Dynamische und performative Facetten der aktuellen Petersburger Kunst stehen im Vordergrund und "Live!" ist daher auch dynamisch konzipiert, wird sich während eines Monats immer wieder verändern und durch von Performances zurückgelassene Spuren anreichern. Schwerpunkte: Am Sonntag diskutiert Sergej Bugaev-Afrika mit Peter Weibel und einem noch zu benennenden österreichischen Kulturpolitiker, Kerim Ragimov lässt im Laufe der ersten Ausstellungswoche ein großformatiges fotorealistisches Gemälde entstehen, Kirill Šuvalov ein überdimensionales Comic, in dem von der Zerstörung von St.Petersburg durch die große russische Literatur berichtet wird. Das Künstlerduo Gljuklja und Caplja implementiert singende Kleider, die mit BesucherInnen in Interaktion treten werden, Joulia Strauss installiert digitale Traumdeutungsmaschinen, Oleg Kuvaev präsentiert erstmals ins Deutsche übersetzte Episoden seines Internet-Kultcomics "Masjanja". In Fotosessions mit Oleg Maslov und Viktor Kuznecov soll barocken Petersburger Szenen in Graz nachgespürt werden, Sergej Denisov zeigt eine fragil-vergängliche Found-Footage-Installation, Viktor Snesar robuste KFZ-Performances in und um altrussische Garagen und insbesondere im öffentlichen Grazer Raum. Und Olga Kiseleva modelliert Café und Boutique nach Petersburger Façon und ermöglicht damit den Blick zurück durch das russische "Fenster nach Europa".

With dynamic and performative facets of contemporary Petersburg art in the foreground, it is inevitable that "Live!" should also be dynamically conceived, changing throughout the month and enriching traces left behind by performances. On sunday Sergei Bugaev-Afrika engages in a discussion with Peter Weibel and an as yet to be named Austrian cultural politician; Kerim Ragimov creates a large format photorealistic painting during the first week of the exhibition, Kirill Shuvalov an oversized comic reporting on the destruction of St.Petersburg by great Russian literature. The artist duo Glyuklya and Tsaplya implements singing clothes that interact with visitors, Joulia Strauss installs digital dream interpretation machines, Oleg Kuvaev presents episodes from his Internet cult comic "Masyanya", translated into German for the first time. Baroque Petersburg scenes will be tracked down in Graz in photo sessions with Oleg Maslov and Viktor Kuznetsov, Sergei Denisov shows a fragile, transient found-footage installation, Viktor Snesar robust car performances in and around ancient Russian garages and particularly in public space in Graz. And Olga Kiseleva models café and boutique in Petersburg fashion, allowing a look back through the Russian "window to Europe".
