"für manfred nisslmüller ist schmuck nicht in erster linie ein zu formendes objekt. nisslmüller betreibt seit jahrzehnten grundlagenforschung und hat, auch in der auseinandersetzung mit der bildenden kunst, den schmuckbegriff um etliche dimensionen erweitert.
neben eigentlichen schmuckstücken sind seit 1976 zunehmend arbeiten entstanden in form von texten und bildern, oder auch überraschende neuinterpretationen der klassischen schmuckobjekte. nisslmüller schafft damit eine neue kategorie von werken, die es im schmuck zuvor nicht gab: das schmuck." in kooperation mit dem schweizer gewerbemuseum winterthur und WERKSTADT GRAZ erscheint eine publikation mit arbeiten von manfred nisslmüller "NISSLMÜLLER - das schmuck ".
"for manfred nisslmüller jewelry is not primarily an object to be formed,for decades nisslmüller has been studying fundamental aspects and also in dealing with the fine arts he has added numerous dimensions to the conception of jewelry.
Apart from designing actual pieces of jewelry since 1976 the artist has created an increasing number of works in the form of texts and images or even surprising new interpretations of classical objects of jewelry. Nisslmüller has thus invented a new category of works which has not existed in jewelry
design up until now: "das schmuck"
In co-operation with the gewerbemuseum winthertur and WERKSTADT GRAZ a book on the works by manfred nisslmüller, "NISSLMÜLLER - das schmuck" will be published.
